Shiliu is currently hiring Online History and Economic Teachers!

Shiliu Education Technology Co., Ltd, is an online education platform founded in 2017 and headquartered in Nanjing, China. They are looking for native English speaking teachers to deliver English literature reading and writing classes to students between ages 9-18. You’re not required to work full shifts, but having availability during peak times will ensure that you get a higher amount of bookings. Mon-Fri 18:30-21:30; Sat-Sun 08:30–21:30 during the school year (March-June; September-January the following year) and Mon-Sun 08:30–21:30 during the holiday period (July-September; January-February). Each lesson lasts 60 to 90 minutes of active instructional time. Each lesson has 3 to 5 students. These lessons will last 2 to 3 months. You must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in English literature, education, history, or related subjects from a top 200 University in the world. You need to be a native English speaker from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, or Ireland. At least two years of teaching experience. It is preferred that you have online teaching experience with ESL. Must have a TOEFL certificate or something equivalent. The pay rate is high at $20-30 per hour. There are bonuses and incentives available as well.

Magic Ears is in Beijing and they teach children aged 4-12. Their classes can have up to 4 students. The hiring process at Magic Ears is very straightforward and clear compared to many other companies. The pay rate is transparent has a range of $12-26 per hour (2 x 30-min class). Be sure to have a fast internet connection since they require 10mbps up and down. They are looking for teachers from the US and Canada only with either an ESL teaching certificate or teaching experience. Hours are weekdays: 6:30 pm-9 pm, weekends and holidays: 10-11:30 am & 6:30-9 pm (Beijing Time). Also, from what we have heard in our groups they are a lot more understanding when it comes to sick days and emergencies. The booking rate depends on how good the teacher is or if the student likes the teacher. Upper average $2000 per month.
