Teacher Job Mentors
One of the solutions that we have been working on is how to effectively help new teachers that are applying for various jobs The best solution looks like a mentor program.
Want to be a Mentor?
Teachers create profiles on OETJobs. These will include a video, a page with their profile, and a form that potential teachers can contact them through. Then we will feature and list their mentor page on our resources page and social media community.
How Does It Work?
You will also benefit from our various roundtable discussions where we will have various mentors talk about the latest happenings in the industry. Of course, the mentors in the program will also be covering what is going on at their company, and in turn, promote themselves.
What to Share?
Here are some suggestions. Do not feel like you have to include all of these. Use your discretion.
- For English and ESL teachers –
- Interview tips
- Your favorite company to work for and why
- Jobs to avoid and why
- Anything else you can think of!
