Online ESL Teacher Job Description
Changing the way language learning is done is a great challenge, so we are looking for a Project Manager for the French learning projects in our Didactics department.
This is a full-time role with a limited contract (1 year) starting from January 2020.
You will:
- Plan realistically & realise projects concurrently, including the scope and long term planning
- Adapt to project requirements, propose and roll-out new workflows when needed
- Deliver projects according to deadlines
- Track progress of project plans and manage changes to the project scope and/or project schedule independently
- Build, coordinate and brief project teams, both internal and external resources
- Finalise and sign off concepts from internal and external authors
- Review and sign off learning content for French
- Calculate and document expected freelancer costs
- Own the freelancer recruitment process from the early stage to the final decision
- Train and assess freelancers
- Apply in-depth knowledge about Babbel’s learning concepts and drive the creation of new learning content concepts, taking didactical methods and stakeholders into account
- Understand the business need for each project and make ongoing decisions based on what’s best for the organisation
- Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with everyone in the internal team & project teams.
- Track performance of the French content and work together with the performance team to decide on changes to improve the performance.
You have/are
- Knowledge of English or German (native, near-native level)
- Knowledge of French and other languages are a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in project management
- Intermediate knowledge about the digital self-study industry
- University degree in Education, Linguistics, Translations or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organisational skills
