BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Teach Basic English listening, speaking skills and/or reading, writing, grammar
  • Monday-Friday
  • 22teaching hours/week 88 teaching hours/ month
  • Lesson planning and basic record keeping

Jilin Injoy Education previously known as Jilin Younovo, Jilin Tianshuo etc. This company changes its name every couple or so years for a reason due to its dishonest, exploitative and predatory business conduct. Because if this company enjoyed a good reputation why keep changing the name. Company’s name may change but Maggie remains the mafia queen of this outfit.I myself made the mistake of signing up with this company in May, 2019 and the first thing I noticed was that 95%+ of its recruits were Second World non-native English speakers. I was frequently asked to assist these desperadoes with basic English grammar of these supposed foreign experts.

This company recruits Second World desperadoes for a reason namely they can pay them half as much, house them in cramped, shared and sub-standard apartments and demand that they spend unpaid hours every day travelling between client schools. So you might be on the go for ten hours a day teaching and travelling between schools for five hours of pay or less. I remember one eastern European woman having with classes scattered over 7 days.

Problem is the company has gotten so used to how it can treat non-native English speakers from Second World countries that it thinks it can treat native-English speakers the same way in terms of salary, accommodation and generally messing them around. Resulting in native English speakers making up less than 5% of its teacher pool. Native English-speaking teachers almost always leave well within six months of arriving out of a sense of frustration and dismay.

I myself left when the company attempted to give me a 50% pay cut when they attempted to force me into a full time university position for 8,000 R.M.B a month despite my original contract promised me 16,000 R.M.B a month. Fact is I knew that as a native English speaker with a university degree and a C.E.L.T.A that I could easily learn a lot more with another employer. Funny thing I was the only native English speaker with a degree that Maggie had. When I attempted to leave Maggie showed her true mafia queen colors insisting she couldn’t transfer my work visa and residency permit to another company to another employer. Unless I paid her 26,000 R.M.B. Dishonest business practices are Maggie’s bread and butter as she frequently presents teachers with C.V falsely claiming teachers have qualifications and experience they simply don’t have in order to secure contracts with client schools.

Anyway I managed to escape Maggie’s web with paying her extortionist demands. I gained employment teaching at a middle school for 18,000 R.M.B a month at one middle school with my own large apartment an easy five minute walk away.
Pros
Provides false degrees and criminal history certificates for applicants that don’t have them.Able to circumvent visa regulations by bribing government officials .

Able to employ non-native English speakers, non-degree holders and people without criminal history certificates due to connections and bribes.
Cons
Maggie the C.E.O is a self confessed liar who will cheat and extort Chinese and foreigners without discrimination.Sub-standard shared housing.

Unpaid hours spent travelling between schools.

Frequently short changed for pay.
