School Intro
EPIK is a department within the Korean Ministry of Education that is in charge of hiring Native English teachers for the majority of school boards throughout Korea. Due the fact that they have so many positions to fill, EPIK designates certain recruitment agencies to assist with hiring and Canadian Connection is one of the designated agencies.
In addition to EPIK, School Boards also hire additional teachers on their own to meet their specific needs and in these cases they may also employ agencies to assist with recruitment. Here are the school board programs we are also currently hiring for directly: GOE (Gyeongnam office of education), JLP (Jeollanamdo office of education)
Private institute (hagwon) positions are available as well. The majority of hagwons that we recruit for are located in the metropolitan cities and some suburban areas.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Teaching hours: 22 per week (public), ~30 per week (private)
School levels: Elementary, middle, and high school (public); Kindergarten, elementary (private)
Vacation: 18 working days (public), 10 working days (private) + Korean national holidays
Salary: 2,100,000-2,700,000 KRW per month
Settlement allowance: 300,000 KRW
Housing: Non-shared housing provided – schools pay rent, teachers cover utilities
Airfare: 1,300,000 KRW allowances for both entry and exit
Start dates: Monthly
Contract length: 1 year
Locations: All across Korea (metropolitan, suburban, rural)
