My Background
Hello! My name is Kristina Garcia, but my students call me Teacher Tina! I have worked in a variety of fields but have always found my way back to teaching. I majored in Spanish and K-12 Education in college and although I loved being in the classroom, I found that I never felt like I had “enough”–enough time to plan for my classes, enough resources to make the lessons engaging, enough one-on-one time with my students, enough of a work-life balance.
Then I found VIPKID! Shortly after starting with VIPKID in July 2017, I realized what an amazing company VIPKID was and I began creating YouTube videos to help applicants and new teachers be successful. I currently spend my early mornings’ teaching and the rest of my time coaching amazing candidates and new teachers!
Being a helpful guide to my referrals is the way that I choose to “give back” to an amazing company that allows me to work from home and make my own hours. If you think you may be a good fit for VIPKID and you’d like my help as your referring teacher, you can contact me by filling in the form below. The form also allows you to send me your resume. Note that the VIPKID application process requires that you fill out a streamlined online application rather than send your resume. You can also visit my website here.

-Use TPR and props effectively
-Have an interesting classroom background and a headset
-Speak slowly and clearly, especially for beginner-level students
-Engage with the camera; give “high fives” and maintain “eye” contact!
