My Background
Hello! My name is Adalee and I am 26 years old and have been teaching online for close to a year now. I’ve always loved teaching and children and have been working as a teacher, tutor, and nanny for the past 10 years.
I have lived in four countries and have traveled all over the world but am from the States which is where I am currently living. I am studying for my bachelors in Elementary Education and am a full-time student so teaching online is the perfect job for me. I love it so much that I plan to continue even after I graduate.
I currently work at Qkids and absolutely love it. They are a phenomenal company who really care about their teachers. They are flexible and consistent.
Please watch the video above, and if you think you qualify as a teacher, then you can use my referral code MCUFFN for Qkids.

Teaching Tips
When teaching children you will need to use a lot of energy and be very focused to keep them on track and to give them the best learning experience that you can. SMILE a lot! If you question if you’re smiling enough, you probably aren’t. =)
Use a lot of TPR (total physical response). For example, wave, point to yourself or the students, give them a thumbs up, nod your head, clap etc.
I find props to be very useful and use them often. Stuffed animals, puppets, and silly hats are crowd favorites. =) I also recommend flash cards to keep children engaged. The most important thing is that you keep their energy up and keep them interested and smiling.
Tips for new teachers:
Do your research before joining a new company. There are a lot of good companies out there but be sure you educate yourself on their attendance policies, sick leave or vacation policies, contract terms, etc.
I have failed to do this and wasted my own and a companies time because their requirements did not meet my needs but I only realized this after I had gone through the recruiting process.
A lot of info can be found online and this site will be a great resource for you in your research.
Interview tips: BE PREPARED and know exactly what to expect so you’re not as nervous. A little nerves are unavoidable but if you have a good mentor you should be able to bypass being too nervous and pass your interview with flying colors. Smile and be yourself.
Your favorite company to work for and why:
QKIDS!!!! I have worked for other companies but Qkids is by far the best. (in my opinion) They are understanding and flexible and their platform is excellent. They have adorable characters and lots of fun animations and games. It is super interactive and the 30-minute classes fly by. They pay on time and I really can’t say enough good things about the staff and the teaching platform.
Jobs to avoid and why:
Any job that deducts money from already earned income for missed classes. That seems very unfair to me and I wouldn’t recommend it because life happens sometimes. =)
What types of equipment you use:
Qkids does have strict computer specs and internet speed requirements. I can provide you with information on this. You will also need a headset with a built-in microphone and the ability to connect your computer to your wireless router with an ethernet cable. I can help you with this and make suggestions.

Hi Adale,
I am just getting started with QKids and I ran into a problem with setting up an account in WeChat. In order to clear security, I need to find someone who already has an account to help me. Please advise!
