Do not bother applying to most companies based out of the UK unless you have an accent that matches what they are looking for along with understanding their culture. This is not true for all of the companies but is for many of them.

Review: Fluentify is a well-established online platform with a corporate focus and currently targeting the Italian market. You will teach motivated business professionals with a variety of learning objectives and you will have the freedom to use your own teaching resources and apply your own teaching style in order to help your students achieve their goals. Fluentify is looking for experienced online English teachers with a business background and you can make up to 11EUR per 30-minute session.
Review: Tutor Supply focuses on teaching students in China typically 3am-6pm BST. The pay rate is 20-30£ depending on the level you teach. The UK has a status called Qualified Teacher Status(QTS) which is a bonus if you have. Having a TEFL certification should be good enough. They also ask that you have a clear enhanced DBS which is a background check performed in the UK. There is a bonus structure of 5£ for every extra student in the same class. They are hiring both native and non-native teachers.
Review: TwoSigmas is a recruiting agency based in the UK. They are looking for native teachers from North America with a neutral North American accent. ESL teaching experience or a current teaching certification is preferred along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Linguistics, Languages. You will be teaching children between the ages of 5-12. The main hours are between 7am-11am Eastern U.S. time on weekdays and 11am-11pm on weekends. The pay is great at $20 and above.
Review: ESL Starter school is looking for teachers who have a BA(preferred but not mandatory), TESOL or TEFL certificate (although can be studied later, experience teaching ESL, and are a US or Canadian passport holder. Yes, this is a company out of the UK, but they do not hire teachers from the UK. The classes are multi-student classes with mostly children under 12. You will be provided US Common Core lesson materials, and the peak hours are 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM EST. Each lesson is 45 minutes and the rate of pay is up to $20 for each lesson paid through Paypal.
Review: Barons English is currently looking for teachers who live in the UK and be able to teach Business English, college students who need help passing tests, and children, all of whom are from South Korea, Japan and China. Lessons are one-on-one for 25 or 50 minutes.
Swoosh English hires teachers from the UK who have experience teaching IELTS and have a British accent. The lessons are one-on-one and small group IELTS lessons using their own conference platform. You will teach off a virtual whiteboard and tools that you will need to learn how to use. If you have your own materials you can use them as well, but they also provide materials as well. The main requirement is that you have at least 5 years of IELTS teaching experience and a CELTA or a TEFL certificate, with few exceptions. They post their jobs on Indeed here.
Review: Bespoke Language hires online and in person ESL teachers. In person tutors will work in one of their centers or go directly to the home of the student.
Review: Ukuni is out from the Uk and has their own online teaching platform to teach Chinese kids. They are looking for teachers who have a bachelor degree or above, has a TESOL qualification with teaching experience. Ukuni only accepts teachers who are based in the UK. Their preferred nationality is UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, USA. The working hours are from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm GMT. The minimum guaranteed to work for Ukuni is10 hours a week from £15 – £20 per hour and has the potential to earn £400 + per week. All teaching materials and lesson plan are provided.
Review: English Skype Classroom is a smaller school ran out of the UK. It is not clear as to how often they hire new teachers. They have an extremely professional website and focus lessons on adults. You need to be a native teacher from the UK.
Review: Fleet Tutors basically you need to be from the UK, holds a degree, and have teaching qualifications such as the QTS. They do hire teachers from other countries but it looks like the requirements are quite stringent. If you decide to sign up with them you have to make a one-year commitment. You must be a UK resident and have the right to live and work in the UK.
