iTutorGroup Review: | iTutorGroup, also known as TutorABC, has HQ in Shanghai, which has been around since 1998. If you are with them for long enough and live in certain countries you can make over $22 an hour. In the past, students’ ratings will have a big impact on the teacher’s salary. But they now get rid of this and the pay will be more stable. They now offer completion and contribution bonus which aims to motivate teachers to teach more hours on their platform. The longer you teach with them, the higher the bonus rate you will achieve. Classes are available 24/7 on iTutorGroup platform, which is very unique compared to other platforms. The classes range from individual to small groups of up to six students. They provide extremely easy to use materials. You will be teaching children and/or adults from diverse backgrounds. iTutorGroup’s award-winning education platforms include TutorABC, vipJr, tutorJr, for English-language learning, TutorMing for Mandarin Chinese language learning, and LiveH2H – a robust, global, and open platform for live interactions and experts-on-demand. | ||

31abc Review: | Note: This company is NO longer hiring 31abc is a reputable mid-size ESL company based in Shanghai embraced by many teachers. 31abc takes care of their teachers and provides stable teaching hours with a fixed schedule and the same recurring students. Small size class, up to 3 students age 4 to 12 years old. They only hire native English speakers. 31abc accepts non-degree holders if you have extensive teaching experience. Having a TEFL/TESOL/TESL certificates along with teaching experience with kids is a plus. You must have good computer skills and a good internet connection since you will be using Zoom. Teachers have the same students 3 days a week with teaching materials provided, either MWF or Tue-Thu-Sat 6-10 pm Beijing time for one year. That means very stable teaching hours and income. 31abc have a competitive salary at $16-18 base per hour + $4 bonus based on performance. As a result, the hourly rate ranges from $20-22 including bonuses. Different from most of the schools, you only have one review per month instead of after every single class since you’re having the same students again and again. 9 hours of minimal weekly hour commitment and minimal 6 months commitment. | ||

Whales English is seeking teachers from the US, Canada, and the UK with a neutral accent. You must have a bachelor’s degree or above and a 120 hr TEFL/TESOL or other teaching certificates preferred. You will be teaching during typically Chinese peak hours of 7-9 PM Beijing time along with hours during the day and night on the weekends. Classes are group subject-based curriculum lessons of 2-3 students aged 3-18. There are consistent hours for regular teachers.
