What we are going to do is run a job fair in our Facebook groups for jobs. Again, only in our Facebook group for jobs, not the one for reviews.Since this will be our first run, We might not get it 100% perfect, but we are willing to try. We will see how this goes and then determine if we'll do another one the same way, make some adjustments, or scrap the idea altogether.Okay, let's take a look at the way this will work along with what is expected of job seekers and those who are looking for teachers. Yes, we also allow for those teachers who are using referral links to join in.A. We will start out with a Facebook live video in the group to answer any questions and to kick things off. After the video has completed, you can start to post. Here is the date and time in WorldTimeBuddy. It should convert to your time zone.B. You are allowed to post for 72 hours from the time that the video stops.C. If you post in the group, you have to use #JobFair.D. If you are posting to ask for a job, then use #JobFair #Looking. You need to include details such as: 1. Where you are from including if you are native or non-native. 2. Do you have a degree? Include what kind if you do. 3. Do you have a certificate? Include what kind if you do. 4. Do you want to teach adults, children, or both? 5. Do you have experience? No need to write a full resume. Just include a bit of background information. 6. The hours you want to work and your time zone. A link to WorldTimeBuddy would be best. 7. The hours per week that you can work. 8. Anything else that you might find to be useful for someone trying to line you up with a new job.Try to answer as many questions in the list as possible. If your written English is absolute rubbish, then your list might be taken down. If you can not manage to write a proper post in English, then do not expect to get a job teaching English online.E. If you are a school, recruiter, or teacher giving referrals, then use #JobFair #Offering. You need to include details such as: 1. Is a degree required? 2. Is a certificate required? 3. Do you hire both native and non-native teachers? 4. Can they teach from any location around the world? 5. What are the minimum bandwidth requirements? 6. What OS do they need? 7. What are the peak hours? Include the time zone through a link to WorldTimeBuddy. 8. What are the minimum hours per week/month? 9. What is the pay rate and are there any bonuses? 10. Are the students adults or kids? 11. How to apply for the job? Is there a direct URL, do they need to message you, etc.? 12. What is the website? If the school does not have a website, then do not bother posting. There are no exceptions to this rule.Try to answer as many questions in the list as possible. You have to either be working for or recruiting for a school with a legit website. No exceptions.F. You must be available to answer questions in a reasonable amount of time. If you get overloaded, then take the post down. G. After the 72 hours of adding posts we will keep all of them up for another 48 hours. You will still be expected to continue answering questions. H. At the end of the 48 hours, 12 hours after, or before that time we expect you to delete your posts. The reason for that is so that we do not clutter the group content. Be cool, come in and take down your post.Note: Like we mentioned this is the first round. We will see how this goes and afterwards, we will listen to the feedback from all of you.
